Cell Monitoring Unit (CMU)
The TeKshift Cell Monitoring Unit (CMU) is a slave device that provides the first layer of interface with the battery cells. It is responsible for monitoring the voltage of up to 16 cells. When requested by the master device, it is able to passively balance each cell independently with a maximum of 300mA per cell.

Communication Bridge Unit (CBU)
The Communication Bridge Unit (CBU) from TeKshift, is an intelligent master device that manages up to 30 Cell Monitoring Units (CMU) and communicates with the Battery Manager Unit via a powerful ASIL-C SEooC digital platform.
The CBU is fully insulated from the CMU and therefore from the battery pack. Integrated safety software features for monitoring and balancing management reported via CAN.

Cell Management Master Unit (CMMU)
Our Cell Management Master Unit (CMMU) is an intelligent device that can be used as a slave device or as a Master for Low Voltage cell modules. It provides a layer of interface with the battery cells and a powerful ASIL-C SEooC digital platform. Both digital platform on one hand and the balancing and monitoring components on the other hand are separated by an isolation boundary, to provide the needed electrical safety.

Battery Master Unit (BMU)
The Battery Master Unit (BMU) from TeKshift corresponds to the supervisor of the “battery management system”, consequently it contains the “high level” logic allowing a stand-alone performant and safe operation of the battery in its environment.
The hardware is a rugged “off the shelf” controller capable of operating in harsh automotive, marine, and off-highway applications. Also available as Vehicle Control Unit.
